Weblogs: Semantic Web

Google News Plex

Ben Hammersley has noticed Google now have their own news search engine. A quick look reveals that the content is up-to-date (how accurate it is probably depends on how often Goolgebot indexs news based websites, so maybe up-to-the-minute is not feasible yet).

Go Google Go!

I'm impressed it organises news articles according to the topic - hey it may just be a keyword-based algorithm without really understanding the article, but it just goes to show that the minimalist approach does solve most of the problems with understanding articles.

I want my tool to take a news item then explore a few websites looking for more information on that item (recent info is good, and historical information can add depth to coverage).
